Any player can earn 1 soma for giving a tour of town to a player who then joins us (2 if you also recruited the player). If you are going to give a tour make sure you read this guide first and familiarize yourself with the places mentioned.
A tour of Dystopia should have two goals:
1. To show a new player where the main buildings are.
2. To show off what we have in town and give a flavour of the community.
I would suggest starting at the town hall. Not only is this where players warp to coming from the Bux embassy it is deliberately located in a central location so players can orient themselves fairly easily.
Tell them what there is in the town hall - the Bux embassy, post office, and donations area on the 3rd floor; official offices on the 2nd floor and the various info boards on the 1st floor.
Take this opportunity to explain our town rank system and town currency (soma). Point them towards these forums - dystopiaforums.tk. Explain that by helping the town they can earn soma and rank up to get access to different town perks (such as the semi-auto farms, end portal, ad signs, and so on).
Come out the main town hall entrance. This should give them a nice open view from where they can see many of our amazing buildings
Take them to District 1. Explain that these house lots cost 10 spawn eggs. Other house lots are free. Show them the clay factory and bank.
Then show them the market area and shop lots. Explain that they can have a shop lot in town for free.
Show them the regular farms, tree farm, and semi-auto farms (including our cool cocoa farm on the bottom floor).
Take them to the Utopia housing district and the Wonderland district. Explain the building themes of these areas.
Take them to District 2 and the End portal.
Go through the tunnel next to the end portal and to the hotel. Then come back up to the town hall.
If the player seems friendly, patient, and sensible show them some available house lots and get them to choose the one they want. If there are no available lots get them to choose a hotel room.
Finally, contact a town official so that they can be added to their lot and to the farms.
Above all try to give a good impression of the town. You are an ambassador. You are probably the first person they talk to when they visit us so show them what a great community we have. Be friendly, patient, and polite. And, if you manage all that, have fun too!
